Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy by Ally Carter

This book is the sequel to I’d Tell You I Love You, But Then I’d Have to Kill You. And to bring you up to speed quickly, Cammie Morgan is a sophomore at the Gallagher Academy for Exceptional Young Women, which is not really what it appears to be. As it says on page 1, “we’re spies.” In the first book, Cammie goes into town on a covert operation assignment and meets a “normal” boy named Josh. They begin dating, and as you can imagine, chaos ensues.
At the start of book two, Cammie is being debriefed by the CIA after the Josh fiasco at the end of last semester. As she returns to school after the debriefing, Cammie promises her mother that Cammie’s days of sneaking around and breaking the rules are over. After all, Cammie just wants to have a nice, normal semester. But when you attend a school for spies, it is pretty hard to keep those kinds of promises, even for twenty-four hours.
