The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting
By Alexia - TABSeptember 26, 2011
Violet Ambrose is struggling to stay sane. Ever since she was a little girl she's had a special "gift" for finding dead bodies. Or at least those that have been murdered. This hadn't been much of a problem in the past, considering all she had to deal with were a few dead birds here and there (killed by her cat). But now things have changed, a serial killer has begun threatening her town, she must deal with the echoes of all the little girls he's claimed. Each little body carriers its own echo, they call out to Violet until they have been properly buried, put to rest. But worst of all, the murderer carries his own imprint identical to the echo. The stress is unnerving as Violet realizes she may be the only one who can find the killer and put the killing spree to an end. Even with the help of her best friend (or something more?) Jay, the danger is overwhelming and terrifying. Will Violet be able to do the town justice and find the killer? Or will she become prey herself?
