Glee: The Beginning by Sophia Lowell and Ryan Murphy

Now I know what you’re thinking, a book written after the show? How can that be any good? I thought the same thing myself. But I received the book from my aunt for Christmas. She and I both share a fan girl-type obsession with the show. However much in love with it I am, I was still skeptical about the novel. After reading it one weekend, I came to discover that the book possessed the same qualities I liked in the show. There were no Glee Clubbers singing and dancing, but there was still the witty humor and overall comedy that I have come to love.
The plot is entertaining and tells the story of the characters before Glee Club became New Directions. It describes Quinn and Puck’s relationship, as well as, Rachel’s earth shattering entrance into Glee. What it lacks in story, it makes up for in humor and overall silliness. It is in no way trying to be a serious novel and is only trying to entertain the hordes of devoted fans. If you are a fan of Glee, then I can guarantee this book will make you crack a smile.
